Comida (food) of Mexico

Over the past two weeks, we have travelled to various regions of Mexico including:
Mexico City, state of Jalisco (eg.Guadalajara & Tequilla), state of Yucatan (eg,Chitzen Itza, Merida & Cancun) & Quintana Roo (eg. Tulum & Chetumal). The food has been fabulous with my all time favourite lunch meal being at Tequilla. I'm still deciding which was my favourite dinner meal!

Tonight is our last night in Mexico before crossing to Belize and Guatemala. I finally got to try the famous Mexican Sopa de Lima (Lime Soup). Very tasty and enjoyable. It's basically a chicken broth soup with some vegetables, lime and julienned tortillas. I would recommend everyone try this soup if travelling in Mexico. It's not spicy at all. Here's some photos of various meals we have tried.

                                                 Chicken Enchiladas in Salsa Verde

Plate of tacos, street vendor Mexico City

My favourite - Chicken marinated Aztec Style on an agave leaf skewer

                                          Various Regional dishes, Merida

Sopa de Lima (lime soup), Chetumal
